"My Brother The Devil"

16th October it has been reported that "My Brother the Devil" premiered in Leicester Sq.

My brother the devil also hosted a competition to gain recognition. All you had to do is follow them on twitter and like the poster on facebook in order to put yourself in a raffle to win the official poster!

SCREENING!

Obviously to get recognised and win awards people have to watch the film. The film been out in the BFI library for screening to the public and critics. MBTD also has a Facebook application where people can use to find their nearest screening! I say that's a good stunt for marketing.

Screening at the US!

It's official, MBTD has made it to screen in America, places such as Sans Francisco!

Screening at Mile End genesis followed by Q & A with Sally El Hosaini, James Floyd and Fady Elsayed! What a great way to attract people to Genesis and to watch the film!

The street hype begins. It is an Honour to have our old unofficial poster bootlegged in a store in Angel Islington, way before the campaign has started. (4th September 2012)

My brother the devil

My brother the devil has a very interesting story and trailer. It attracts youths, especially ones in London as most can relate to the film. Its amazing that there is a small hype to the film, but then again they have one a few awards already. So far around London i haven't seen a poster of My brother the devil and their twitter has under 3000 followers. This shows that it is a low budget movie but it doesn't make it a bad one. If i do go cinema in this week, i'll be sure to watch the movie. I would also be interested by their twitter to see if their fanbase is growing or staying stationary.

Sounds familiar? Heard it somewhere before? Let me just tell you because I love pointing out the obvious! Skyfall! Yes, it's a synergy, Skyfall & Adele. Anyway so everywhere I go, I see Skyfall posters, each poster also has a different character. This film releases on Friday 26th, I'm planning on watching it on the 27th, hah! Asian timing, get it? Perhaps not, but hey my Asian's can relate.

Once upon a time I came out of college and oh look who happens to be laying down on the billboard for me, haha yeah that's right, take a look at that mo'fo posing.

It was a long day, I saw many Skyfall posters, before getting on a bus towards Aldgate East, I saw so many Skyfall posters, I decided, that's it, I'm taking you hostage through my camera, but this stupid lamp post light kept getting in the way and didn't let me take a pic of it properly *crowd goes awww as I cry* I REALLY WANTED THAT FACE... Anyhoo moving on.

I felt hungry right, but not food hungry, I was like cheesecake, hot choccy type hungry, so me and some mates stopped by at cookies and cream. They robbed us, before throwing these deliciously tasty savoury items in front of me so I don't call the police, good tactics. Ooh I can taste the cheese cake, the vanilla and chocolate ice-cream and the hot choco melting everything down my throat... okay that's enough.

I then decided it's time to go hooome! So I waited at my bus stop, I saw my bus approaching but before that  the bus opposite me had this huge poster of Skyfall and I'm pretty sure Bond winked at me and said "How do I look? Take a snap", yeah so what did I do? I took a pic of him, yeaaaah!

The Dark Knight Swede Analysis

Okay so I am doing some media project and for my project I have to create a swede. I'm working with a group of 4, including myself. 
We are going to make a swede of dark knight, and out of the many out there already, we are committed to keeping our one unique and different to others.

Researching previous swedes

Here is a very popular and successful swede. In fact there has been more episodes of this swede. Watched by millions, this hilarious video does never fail to make somebody laugh. From copying the voice to mocking the movie. This truly brings tears of laughter to the audience.

What works in this swede?

In my opinion I think this swede works brilliantly because firstly they have the costume, and the fact the batman actor is chubby and uses his chubbiness skills in his costume makes this whole parody funny already. Now the voice in the dark knight is key. He is recognised for that croaky lost voice which sounds so freakin' stupid and awesome at the same time. The fact he beats up joker and shouts out key quotes such as "WHERE IS HE!" makes this swede even better.

What I disliked about this Swede?

This swede is so funny it's almost hard to dislike it, it made you laugh so much you ignore the bad lighting, bad camera, the bad others things because it is complimented by such awesomely rubbish acting and story.
